Company Vision

Nathan Hall’s vision for East Kentucky Biodiesel began years before the organization of the company. Nathan dreamed of making a meaningful contribution to Eastern Kentucky by providing jobs to local people, improving environmental conditions, using barren strip mine land in a productive way, and helping to reduce our dependence of foreign oil.

East Kentucky Biodiesel will be the vehicle to implement the vision by creating an environmentally-friendly fuel from waste resources and renewable agricultural products that can operate in existing diesel equipment without modification. This also presents an opportunity to reduce our dependence on foreign oil while cleaning up the air that our children and workforce has to breathe.

We expect to align with the best companies and the brightest minds in the industry to make sure that East Kentucky Biodiesel realizes its potential and attains every facet of the company vision.

The founding team has a background in the region that reaches back to the late 1700s and they are firmly committed to doing what is right for East Kentucky’s long term future. With backgrounds in coal mining, agriculture, information technology, human resource management, and accounting, they bring a diverse skill set to the operation.
